Sounds cool. I would wire up a tone pot adjust to taste, and then note the capacitance values you like to purchase caps accordingly. The direct to jack will probably be the brightest, so you might want to just wire up DIRECT / DARK / DARKER.

I got to work on one 62 Bandmaster and I regret not actually taking time to play around with it.

i always really liked the look of these. unfortunately the one time I played one i don't think it was setup that great.

I'll take a look at the Nanokontrol. Certainly is a lot cheaper than the X-Touch.

The nanokontrol would not have motorized faders, so for recalling things, it might be a pain.

i would totally split that bass into two tracks, keep everything under like 100hz where it's at have the track that's like all the fret/string noise much lower. get it to sit with the drums and i think that it will mostly be pretty balanced. that's really the only thing sticking out a whole lot and ...
