I saw them touring to support Punk in Drublic. Good live show, Fat Mike kept tormenting the crowd by pretending to start the show then walking off stage. He did it like 10 times. I don't usually go for pop punk, but they're more or less a legacy act at this point. Saw SubHumAns at the exact same pl...

NOFX

Hey just thought I share this with ya.... I went to see NOFX the other month... Which by the way was one of the best gigs I've been to (apart from the lame emo band supporting them...jesus they were bad) ...and I've never seen a crowd go so mental...also yet another thing of note, couldn't get over ...

Definitely a piece of crap... ...but even the ones that look nice need burning. They are all so OTT it makes me sick...I think they only serve as props for egomaniacs. As for the argument that they are acceptable as a collectors sort of thing, to hang on some wall - well if you collect guitars you'r...

I Got a Jag!! (Picture now up!!) Thanks for all your input..

Hey, Been a while since I've posted and had the Jag for ages now....but better late than never eh.... Thanks for all your input regarding CIJ or MIM.... After trying out several MIM...I took a gamble and ordered a CIJ (I know, risky)...low and behold it came perfectly set up, the finish is spot on a...

Re: Fitting A New Pup Myself

I've read the info from Seymour Duncan and it says if I'm using my SD Pup with a Fender one, I have to solder the white wire to where the black one was and vice versa. Does that sound about right to you guys? i'm not sure about swapping the wires around. black has been ground on every fender-centri...

Fitting A New Pup Myself

'Ow do, With my Jag and Quarter Pound on the way I enquired about having the QP PUP installed and the guy said £35.....is that about right? Last time I had it done it cost me £15 - however that was 2001/02 - has it gone up that much? EDIT: With the feedback you guys have given on this so far, yeah...

It seems to me that if there's one version that you can actually play and see if you like it or not before you buy it, and there's another one that you'd actually have to buy sight unseen before you even see it, there ought to be a srong inclination to just decide about the first one before you go ...

No I' cool with the faffing, to get what you want it usually takes time and work - if you're serious about your music, why should the sound of your guitar be any different IMO. other than pups, is there anything else you'd recommend doing? and as for the pups, like I've said I' going to just change...

If I had to buy one tomorrow I'd probably go for any one with the regular bridge as I'm not a TOM fan. I do prefer the oldschool radius too, but some people don't seem to really notice the difference. So I'd probably buy a second hand Japanese and do some wiring upgrades etc, like Mike says it coul...

Yeah none of the shops have had the CIJ in, but have said they can order it. So I've not been able to test both out. A friend did have one of the earlier CIJ (or MIJ as it may have been then) and I remember thinking it sounded great. The MIMs I've tested out, didn't impress me as much, but it has be...

Getting a Jag in a few weeks and after some input and advice

First and foremost Hello!! As per the title I'm getting a Jag soon and have been weighing up the options. The various shops I have spoken to are all very keen to get me to go for a MIM, because apparently it is better quality all round. However from what I've already read on here and at other places...
