I put Gretsch flatwounds on my duo sonic, and I love the sound. My intonation is all messed up now,and my actionis pretty high. I've tried adjusting and the intonation is still off, but much better. Action is still pretty high, otherwise I get severe buzz on higher frets. I should also mention that ...

hey there.... ok, the tail peice/trem ... well you have the plate, the tube piece, 2 posts and two springs and an arm.. but it's pretty much one unit.... http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/gbridge_tailpiece_mustang.htm as for routing, you'd need the two slots in the body for the posts/springs.. lik...

Mustang tremolo assembly

Are there any tutorials on installing a mustang tremolo? Also, what pieces would I need to have a complete tremolo? I'm looking at installing one on my CV duo. :)

Thanks for any help!! :?: :D

haha i was going to say, for a full mustang conversion you're going to have to stretch the right side of the body to make it offset. A Luthier/Magician can do this for 40 rupees. Srsly though. the pickups in the Duo are alnico Vs, there just as good as another higher end pickup in dealing with fuzz...

Yea,don't get me wrong... I love the guitar. Biggest gripe is how it acts with fuzz.

Modding a CV Duosonic

So I got one of these locally for like $200, and it's a really cool guitar. It's got a really nice neck, and seems pretty solid. My only gripe is the pups... First off, there isn't a whole lot of variation between the bridge and neck (just a little bit more bass on the neck). Secondly, they sound pr...

So do you prefer the honey bee or DLS for dynamics and tone? The HB sounds really smooth.

I'd be interested in checking it out. It's got a cool Blonde Redhead vibe (with less screechy vocals). I liked what I head on the Myspace page.

Awesome man! I'd be interested in what that fuzz war sounds like. That's a really fair price, and I'm sure wayyyy better build quality.

I used one of these for a while... It's a cool thing. I wouldn't rely on it for any sort of distortion though. It's pretty easy to program and use as well. My biggest gripe is... There is almost TOO much in the box. You can't create "patches" either. So you have individual stomp switches f...

It helps, but it's still not real smooth.

Yea, jags and mustangs ARE pretty bright, but my Tele is brighter, and dirtier.

Where are you getting this information from? I'd like to mod my tele to Make it fatter... My amp is too effing bright. As is my guitar. Any suggestions besides sticking with 250k pots? I've thought about the series/parallel switches like on mustang. Is this even possible for a tele? And if so how co...

I'm a Hotcake fan... They can be really nice clean or dirty. They also remind me a bit of the Rat. At least the Vintage rat I had... Cept it cleaned up well and had loads of volume.
