It's pretty easy to do, but it might be easier to rebuild the whole circuit. As I recall from when I moved mine to a new Lucky Strikes pack the smokey amp's circuit was encased in hot glue. But that could have just been the one I had. They are way simple to build, check the schematics out Here.

Great collection Geisha! Looks like you have the bug worse than me (21 guitars and growing). Most of mine have been project guitars so the cost isn't to bad. I like the one image collage, I'll have to do that. I keep a website for gear http://www.hewittsgarage.com/studio.

Nice job. Your mod looks fairly close to the old Keeley mod. It really opens up the DS1 and makes it a nice pedal. They also sound great with a power starve, there's even room to build it right into the back of the unit. You can use a resistor to set a gate so you don't power off the unit. http://ww...

My Egmond had been completely clear coated when I found it, pickups and all. The same kind of people who can't bother to take a guitar apart to clear coat it, they would paint chrome hardware black. Those people also clear coat in acrylic.

Yes it's a tenor guitar. Most are expensive, since none of the big names make them anymore. You can find them on ebay, which is where that one came from. It's a 1941 Harmony, I refinished the back and neck. But you can get the old off brands (Harmony, Kay, Stella, etc) for an reasonable price on eba...

Looks good Sloan. I use similar hooks for my guitars, but since it's my house they are attached to the wall. They work pretty well, as you can see behind Phillip. I built mine so the can spin to auto level. http://www.hewittsgarage.com/studio/modules/gallery/d/2082-2/DSC01876-640.jpg I had never tho...

Thanks, I tend to buy more than sell so I've ended up as a wayward home for lost instruments. I have 22 guitars with basses and tenors included. I think the stock knobs on the Reissue look ok, standard Fender look. Especially since that guitar hangs on the wall next to a vintage one with the mustang...
