I'm not a fan of them. I played one a few days ago. It sounded like there was a blanket over it. No mid range or treble, especially with a les paul. The whole LP/Marshall thing is suppose to be like PB&J right? Even with a tele it was still too muddy for my taste. Maybe the 6V6 tubes have someth...

Man, I love the look of that guitar. My friends disagree though. If I could find one, I'll put a black pickguard on it, and then replace the pickups with some nice P90s. Too bad I gots no monies...

Well everyone says they are very easy to build but they sell for $300! Could someone explain this to me? Found some guy on the internet that builds his own attenuators at very reasonable prices in comparison to other attenuators on the retail market. I'm thinking of getting one for my Hot Rod. http:...

I would go for the MI audio blues pro. Very sweet, warm overdrive, and the fuzz mode is a nice bonus. Sounds amazing with the neck pickup.

I have a Xaviere strat. In comparison to a Mexican strat, they feel and look exactly the same. I’m pretty sure the dimensions are slightly off to avoid lawsuits, but it’s not noticeable. The Xaviere is a little lighter than the Mexican strat. The pickups on it need to go though. Oh and Xaviere s...

Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone

I always thought compression pedals were only for those uber tone freaks because the difference was so minimal, but I like all the extra features this one has. But is it worth it at $169?

I agree with the questionable sales pitch. After getting to play my xaviere (GFS Copy cat guitars) through some tube amps, I can say that the GFS vintage alnico staggers pickups that the xaviere features are shit. The neck and middle pickups are too muddy and the bridge pickup is way too tinny. I wa...

Mixer Dilemma

I'm in a band and I would like to record all the instruments at the same time. Does anyone know of a affordable mixer with at least six mic inputs and can hook up with a computer interface (like pro tools)? I'm kinda a noob with this stuff so don't destroy me
