I ended up fixing this chorus with a friend. We had to replace one transistor that was bent over so far by the plastic-bodied input/output jacks that it snapped a leg off. That was all that was wrong. (Oh, and I'd previously used a dremel to cut a slot in the MIX knob so that I can turn up the mix.)...

I got some new pedals and a new amp recently. Oh, the guitar's new-to-me too. (Old Global SG copy.) But this isn't the thread for guitars. Loving the Ampeg Jet II I got. Reverb and cleans . http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5027/5562064960_40c3fdc069_z.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5294/5561819035...

I just did this, actually. I got an Ampeg Jet amp for $299, and there was an old SG-knockoff with Singlecoils (Global brand) on the wall for $125 that I happened to demo that was awesome. Total price with tax was $376. If not the used Global SG, I'd get a Squire classic vibe of some sort. The spring...

As of today, when I got tired of it being a mess and velcroed stuff down: http://a.yfrog.com/img616/5083/v78m.jpg The volume pedal after the dirt is an attempt to be able to dial back for the modulation. The Dano Vibe in particular doesn't have much headroom -- this will get replaced eventually, as ...

The Blues Hawk doesn't look bad at all, and neither does the Gibson Night Hawk. But what were they smoking at Epiphone when they made this?

Reminds me of the "can't you just fix that in Pro Tools?" scene in Metalocalypse.

I don't know if you're going to find those features in reasonably priced. Check out the Boss RC-2 to start, it'll give you lots of loop time. Delay/loopers like the Akai Headrush and the Line 6 DL4 are going to have much shorter loop times.

what you want is a bugera v5 . I've had one of these cheap, small tube combos: the Epi Valve Jr. Dunno how much quieter the .1 watt mode is, since my intuition says it is only slightly quieter a 5 watt amp. (Around half as loud as a 5 watt amp?) I guess I just need a really nice head that has a hea...

So it doesn't make any sound when the Master is on 0? Does this hurt the amp? (not driving a load) Sorry for the newbie questions, I've never had a Marshall with master volume. If I could find one of these, I'd probably play all the time on headphones at home and still be able to gig with it somewhe...

way too loud, a 5 watt tube amp will EASILY get u kicked out an apt, after the cops show up Yep, I know this first hand. Our apartment building cited me for noise from the Epi Valve Junior, so I sold it. If we get in trouble for noise again, we can get evicted by some process in the lease. Having s...

It's an awesome amp. It's been my baby for 9 years. The cleans are some of the best on a Marshall...almost Fender. The dirt channel is warm distorted Marshall goodness. http://www.drtube.com/schematics/marshall/jtm310-pic1.jpg It offered 2 footswitchable channels with a shared EQ section, a spring ...

Does it use extra-special-vintage cubits and hand-made construction?

The only problem is now I've got more pedals than I've got power for. Two OneSpots with the 5 plug daisychains, and 12 pedals. And at least one more pedal that I'm working on that will go on the board.

Time to cull the herd? Nope. Time to look at bigger power supplies.
