There are few things worse than guitar butchering
I didn't think these sorts of things happened to good guitars, but I've sadly been proven wrong. This advert was on the London Gumtree page from Monday and for the life of me, I cannot think what the owner was planning. http://i.imgur.com/eHQcicA.jpg - Why would you take the P90 pickups from that Ja...

http://www.creterguitarshop.com/Instruments/Effects/2013%20Effects%20Inventory/DanElectroFabMetal.jpg Given to me by a friend for free when I started out playing bass and then switched to guitar. A truly awful pedal in hindsight, but beggars can't be choosers I guess. It did a passable job when use...

New Korg SDD-3000 pedal
Not sure if this has been posted on here already, but this looks pretty cool for delay obsessives. http://www.korg.com/us/products/effects/sdd3000_pedal/ http://www.premierguitar.com/ext/resources/images/content/2014_07/LNU/Jul14_LNU_Korg_SDD3000_WEB.jpg There is a brief demo somewhere showing how y...

Had one on my board for a couple of years now as my main distortion pedal and I've loved it. It's a fantastic Marshall in a box sound with a really flexible EQ section. The lower gain sounds aren't fantastic but still good. I'm looking to buy a pedal to use as a booster for it; probably the EHX Soul...

No experience of them myself, but I've been eyeing up some Irongear pickups for my Telecaster. They seem to get some really good reviews and £70 for a set of humbuckers seems decent.

Opinions on Peavey Bandit 112
Basically, after a short consideration, i've decided that taking my usual amp to university would end in tears and back ache problems, so i'm in the market for something cheap, loudish and able to take pedals. I've seen an advert on Gumtree for a Peavey Bandit ( Link ) for £75, but i'm wondering wh...

YES! My wife and I just built this last week... mostly her. Opinions on Vox V810/V830 Valvetone pedals
I know very little about these pedals, other than they're discontinued and continue to fetch big ebay fees whenever I see them online. Saying that, they have gauged some interest from me, and i'm curious as to what they sound like. Allegedly Dan Kessler from Interpol uses one and i've always been a ...

I never really got the mojo for the LM308 because to me they always sounded pretty damn similar. Saying that, mine was alright, but I don't think RATs are the right pedals for me. They've just got too much gain for what I use and doing the Reutz mode made mine a bit muddy which got so annoying after...

I'm interested in the Germanium Muff. I'm still a bit confused by the Bias and Volts control (the Volts only seems to have 1 function - simulate dying batteries). Saying that, it does sound good in the PGS demo. Also, there is a way to mod the Double Muff to make the Muff 1 and Muff 2 switchable. So...

There's a Vox AC30 CC2 on eBay, 15 miles away from me, for (atm) £299. Worth a buy? My other guitarist has a CC1 and I was originally gonna look for something else but this seems like it could be good. He seems a bit way of it because he said the speakers are rubbish and the tubes may be on their w...

Laney VC-30s seem to be quite favourable. I've seen the 2x12s with the Celestions on the web fro like 350 which seems like a good price. Is it a nice stand alone amp or purely a poor man's AC30? Master volume would be ideal on something like that to keep it down but I suppose I could just run it at ...

Replacement Amp Suggestions
Basically, my Blackstar HT-5 just isn't cutting it anymore. At band practise in our singer's garage with a Vox AC-30 (set very low in the first place), drummer and bassist, it just isn't good enough. More importantly, at gigs even with it mic'd up the sound just isn't doing it for me. I'm just wanti...

http://bestnetworx.com/uploader/files/162/MaShit.jpg My three main guitars and my pedal collection as of now. How are you liking the Drivemaster? I had one a few years ago given to me by a friend called steve who got it from his nephew martin aka ace from skunk anansie.there's a trim pot in there that can get some great tones if adjusted right. DOD FX-17 Wah Problems
Basically, when i'm using the pedal on either setting (volume or wah), near the starting point of the sweep at about 20% there is an annoying spot where the pedal will cut straight to the top of the sweep (100%). Moving the pedal either up or down returns it back to the position it should be. It onl...

yes 30 with reverb. clean channel has a fault where after a while it will drop out the eq section and sound like a bad MP3. when you touch the amp, the eq will cut in again till you knock it again. can't be arsed to fix it though. Is that a Fender Blues Deluxe under the Vox? Opinions? I'm looking t...
