Yeah, so there are lots of views. Younger players here would rather play than collect, it seems; I do both and try to keep an open mind. If a vintage guitar is just a piece of wood, then history is just words in a book, until you visit Appomattox or Eastern Europe and try to comprehend what happene...

Vintage guitars...this shit. The guitar in general. It's a good looking piece of wood with pickups. The equipment won't give you the magic. Yes, it can alter your sound but in the end, it's the hands. It's the same with hip hop. Some guys are buying EMU SP1200 machines for like 2 Grand because some ...

I've searched this to no end and have found almost no answers ever on this topic. I can tell you that the guitarist used Mesa Boogies (Most Likely Mark 3) on the Pills Thrills tour, along with a jaguar. He used an epiphone casino on the debut album. For Bummed, they used Martin Hannett. Also heard t...

The Hambackers
So i'm looking for a humbucker guitar. I currently only have a Jag as my electric but i've been wanting something with humbuckers recently, something in the 600 dollar range. The problem is. Most of the guitars look godawful gash. Them Ibanez ones looks terrible to me, and an Explorer is just too mu...

Metalz on the Fenders
Lets say i would want a metal tone running a Epiphone Flying V through a Fender Deluxe. Without forking for a new amp. Whats a good pedal for metal gain. I'm thinking something along the lines of Megadeth during Peace Sells.

Mesa Boogie Amps
I've been pondering on the thought of Mesa Boogie amps this evening, and i can't seem to make up my mind. Are they shit, or are they terrible. The old Mesa Boogie's (Whichever the fucking Mark 2484 Amps, Most likely the 2C) are only good at making that one sound Metallica used when they were a band....
