Weber once broken in is a very nice speaker in this amp. When i can i crank the clean channel to about 5 or 6 and add a little OD from my MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe-its got lots (too many!) controls to shape the sound to keep it as "transparent" as possible. At lower levels i drive the BBD o...

Is The Fender Deluxe Reverb Worth Me Buying?

I have a Blues Deluxe with a Weber 12f150 in it and while i like the tone im wondering how much of an improvement i would get by stepping up to a DRRI. I'm not too much of a reverb user and have a trem pedal so not too concerned about those. In terms of tone is it that much better? I havent tried in...

Baja Trussrod Wont Turn

I took off the neck and tried to turn it but it wont move in either direction. I know it shouldnt require much force but even when i was just a little persuasive with it the thing wouldn't move a mm! Any suggestions? By the way i bought this new in Jan 09. I did have a guy with a good rep set it up ...

Only problem would be the american power rating, would need a replacement transformer? Anyone ever got a friend in the states to buy something then post it to them as a "birthday" present or something?

No a 5E3 is a Tweed Deluxe as far as i know.

Weber 5E3 (Fender tweed) chassis built for $240 !

Noticed a discussion about this on another forum. To be honest this seems like a top deal. Its handwired (okay okay in China) but even with import, vat and shipping i reckon this would cost about 250 quid to get it to the UK (if anyone can come up with a more accurate cost then please do) Add to tha...

Action and Fretboard Radius

When setting the action of my guitar should it follow the fretboard radius? I've got Dan Erlewine's book and DVD on setting up guitars and he sets the E strings to the desired height and these uses the radius cut out tools in the back of his book to match the radius of the fretboard, in the case of ...

How Do You Tune?

Just got How to Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great and have been reading the chapter on tuning. Funny as i've played for years and would use the 5/7 harmonic technique when there was no electric tuner, seems like this is a waste of time.............also have to admit to tuning to a chord if i was ...

sorry my measurements are out, dont have anything accurate apart from a small ruler pencil case style! Its more like 3ish at the 12th fret if i measure from the on the fret wire itself. However the strings are way closer at the top of the neck. Is there anyway to get it equal height the whole way do...

Nice one! This drove me mental recently as i'd never had a guitar with vintage tuners before! The high E is a bastid and slips out if you're not careful. A winder defo helps speed up the process
