Cheers for the feedback guys, I certainly like the idea of an in-ear system (something I'd like to use more live too) and a electronic drum kit is arguably cheaper than going down the DIY route. That said there's still the dream of having a 'space' as opposed to my bedroom! Already have the folks on...

Re: Blue Mikey / iPhone-iPod mic
it doesnt work with iPhone4 yet. Apple are really good at helpfully altering their hardware at the last minute. Blue pushed the release date back for the Mikey mk2 which I waited patiently for only to discover as Blue did that Apple had moved the goalposts! I have no fear Blue will be back with mk3...

I've used it for remembering little riff ideas on guitar but for band prac it just doesn't have the range or tolerance to capture enough of everything (unlike my Zoom H2, which does an alright job). It's got lovely features and is easy to import onto the puter and into Logic. Having said that that t...

Do you use your garage?
Bit of a vague question, do you utilise your garage for rehearsing as a band and/or recording? As a wee three piece, we struggle to organise ourselves and getting to one of the two local studios is always a mission as they're a good distance away and only one of us drives! The main issue is really t...

Really impressed with Focusrite's latest Saffire range, Saffire 6 is only £139. Looking for a 40 or 56 model myself. Seem to be the best value for the number of inputs and features available without doubling or tripling the price by going RME, Apogee or Metric Halo (I wish!)

Anyone else waiting for these to turn up? Announced so long ago the initial excitement is ebbing away
Seems the release has been put back at least 3 times in as many months. I'm hoping to pick one up from dv247.

I love my Hog. Managed to pick it up for about £200 from a friend of a friend and bought the patch pedal on eBay. Running this thing through a Big Muff is just pure liquid wonderment. The M-Audio pedal that came with it is complete pash though, the foot plate hooks onto the mechanism and pops off a...

This may be anathema, but I can't recommend Hartke enough. They're quite cheap to pickup 2nd hand and the new HyDrive systems look excellent though I have not tried these first hand. Try and find those with aluminium cones as these give off a really crisp sound and are not overly toppy. I have a Kic...
