I wish I could see your picture. There are only three things I would call a collar on a Bronco bridge. The arm holder, the bushing below the rear height adjustment screw (so the screw does not turn into the top bridge plate) and the spring retainer that the rear height screw screws to below the lowe...

Funny you should bring this up again. I got a cheap ceramic P90 to try in another guitar ($17). It wasn't going to work out. Into Jr it went. It is 7.2K as opposed to the 9.4K of the P100. It doesn't sound that much different. Maybe it's more a function of the materials than construction. I'm sure E...

I'm not sure of the 2011 wiring on a Strat. Traditionally, Strats didn't come with tone control on the bridge. All you had to do was jumper where the middle pickup tone control wire was to the bridge connection on the switch (What you have now). If they are using a jumper wire for the bridge pickup,...

I think the biggest problem with a P100 is, it looks like a P90 but doesn't sound like one. If they were trying for a hum free P90 sound, they lost it in the translation somewhere. It doesn't have the bite of a P90. I do find the low end lacking. Mine is a dog ear in a set neck EPI Jr. I highly doub...

3 springs do 10-46's easily (They do on mine). Your springs might be weak. If not go to four springs. Oh, I forgot, tighten down the six bridge screws. Be warned, it turned mine into a wimpy twangcaster on the bridge pickup. I run it like you have there except my springs line up with the corespondin...

Give the old ones a chance. They are low ratio and quirky. The ones on mine are shot but hold tune well. Hell, the posts fall out of two of them when there are no strings. One peg is bent. If not there are the '69 Mustang reissue tuners available from Fender. I'm not sure if they fit the same though.

That's my Bronco's brother (OCT 67). Really nice necks. Heres what to do. Get the frets levelled. The bent tuner probably works fine. If so leave it. One of my pegs actually falls out with no spring tension. I love those pickguards. It's probably shrunk so it's pulling in on the screws. Tape over wh...

They are the identical circuit except for the first cap value (I'm looking at Vibro Champ ones). From the schamatics, I think the original power transformers might have been different. The AA764 shows 355V to the output transformer, while the AB764 is 420v. My Bronco must be an early AB764. It has a...
