I should probably update this with some new pics - I put white button tuners and black (Strat style) pickguard covers on it... I'll try to get some new pics up soon. I've been busy working on my 71 Compstang's fiesta red refinish. Tough color - it is a bit more "transparent" than the Sea ...

Yeah mine is basswood and I don't like it either, that stuff cracks and dings very easily. It's a really soft wood, almost pine like. Of course, my Stang has taken a fair share of abuse so it's probably partly my fault. I would much rather rock an Alder body for sure. I also know nitro finishes and ...

No doubt a labor of love I'm sure. Sounds great as well in the video. I do really dig that color, I hadn't really seen it on many Fenders. I'm the same exact way with Sonic Blue. It's rare on any Fender, but most people think Daphne Blue. I love the hue of that slightly seafoam green that comes thro...

Dude that is one sick guitar, awesome job on the color.

Love the saddle details too that you gave, those compensated brass ones give it a really sharp look.

Tim Mahoney def. doesn't play shortscale. He's known for PRS Custom 24s almost exclusively. If he does bust out an extra guitar, its usually his Gibson Les Paul Custom copy from Japan. If he's rocked a shortscale, it must have been a one-off thing or for one exclusive song. He's renown for his PRS a...

The EHX Holy Grail is pretty nice, but I own it and I DESPISE the fact that this pedal sucks the volume out of your tone the more you turn it up. I know the nicer Grail pedals that have recently been produced offer a input gain knob, but I have yet to try them to tell you how good they are. I'd reco...

I use the TC Electronics Nova delay and it's been extremely versatile and reliable. Not only does it have a separate tap tempo stomp button, but you can program up to 9 of your own presets. This feature is incredible for me as I play in an original band and use delay pretty heavily, so now I can jus...

I'll have to go with the Mustang, although I love the Jaguar for it's versatility. I started out on a sonic blue Mustang MIJ from the early 90's just like the ones Cobain preferred. I upgraded the bridge pickup to a Fender red Lace Sensor so I could get some humbucking sound, which was great for cru...
