buy either a behringer clone, or one of the boss oc-2/oc-3's which can be had on ebay for around £40. then buy a used rc-2 or jam man for around £100 and you have a lot of versatility buy a dd3 - dd6 for the hold function, but be prepared for short sample times although at a reasonable price (£50...

they are a bit pricey over there (UK/Europe) correct? I always put that down for the reason people seem to hate them. Over here they are so cheap that theya re kind of a no brainer if you want a clean fender tone combo for cheap. Frop a set of JJ tubes in them and you are good to go for sure. You s...

Have you guys looked into gig swaps? this is another idea we were looking at, as the band putting on a gig in their hometown has an incentive to put on a really good night with loads of folk as it's likely they'll receive the same treatment when they head up north/down south/whatever. (as the other ...

fair enough. i can definitely agree with the point on getting away with some mates and having a good time. I just don't know if i could personally stomach going to all that effort to lose money, when it seems like i could do the same gig, up in Scotland, with a bigger crowd and no worries on losing ...

I see. I quite like Light Guides, just thought it seemed like an odd combination... Dunno why! With the greatest respect (and just to spur on some conversation), do you guys tend to make any money doing gigs down south? I can imagine that if a band is located down south and is on the bill there migh...

august would be perfect. we've still not really properly got back into the swing of things, but are planning on getting our shit together and something recorded for around the end of summer.

A gig Glasgow and Edinburgh back to back might be quite fun?

Thought i'd be a gent and rip the audio from BBC. Worked out how to do it on a pesky mac, started ripping, then realised there was a page 2! Dang!

Sounds awesome, though. Glad things are gaining momentum.

the only mod i bothered to do with my CP jag was switching the pickup switches so that up = off, as opposed to down. Means i don't accidentally switch things off whilst i'm playing.

Got the wiring diagram from this very forum, i'm sure.

So how's everyone doing? I've surprised myself, as i've pretty much stuck at the rock school book, and can play the majority of tracks. What i'm doing now is working on my solo technique. This is where i think the other book should come in, to get me up to speed with lead work. I've also managed to ...

Just got my grade 5 rockschool book through the door, looks quite good. I also managed to get a DVD of Lick Library 'Scales and Chords' from my mate. So i think both of these together will tie in quite nicely.

Any of you guys got any practice drills / techniques you wish to share?

I don't think mine are ambitious enough to warrant a game plan: - The incentive to sell gear is to buy better gear - Drumming involves spending an hour or two a week of solid practice - Getting in a band takes a little motivation - I guess the plan would be to record some stuff, do open mics and ad...

Haze, Lorez, GeorgeF...

You guys got a gameplan? I had all these crazy ideas last year, but they never came into fruition because I didn't make a plan of action. I think it's necessary!
