I've played through a few of their heads and combos (including a new-ish tube model, very nice!), own the MAG300 myself. Totally understand your elation - just got an Eau Claire Thunder through the post and have spent the past few days gleefully making the flat vibrate and listening to the rest of the band going 'AWWW MANNNNN' etc.

They're not awful, a friend's band has one that I've borrowed a few times. It certainly ain't an Ashdown, but not as bad as some of the smaller Peavey bass combos I've used. But yeah, veeeery bland. Speaking of Ashdown - I own a MAG 300H but got to play through a BTA 400 recently, really impressed!...

Anyone tried the Shiva out on bass? I've just gone for the Eau Claire Thunder but I'm considering owning both (they both seemed pretty awesome in the demo vids!)
