Kind of weird yeah, and definitely more than a little DIY going on there but I really like using zip ties instead of velcro. Not for snobbery but for the convenience of changing a board around and not needing more velcro. And it is also gravity proof, which velcro often is not. Still I don't underst...

That early cribs sound is still one of my favorite mustang tones. Definitely agree with Nirvana not being the best example though. Apparently "Desperate Graves" by the Mars Volta uses a 64 Mustang for the clean sounds. I wouldn't say its totally characteristic but it is a good sound.
