60Cycle Hum did a review of the Deluxe version, I thought is sounded pretty rad.

Re: Always on pedals, a popular option?
I pretty much always have some level of chorus (like) and reverb on... though mostly amp reverb. Current chorusing-ish effect is Keely 30ms, it's almost always on, and has built in reverb that's usually set around 8:30-9:00, that also feeds into amp reverb. Dirt and such are application based, espec...

Re: NBD - Squier Bronco Bass
MB bridges are string-through-body tho, a whole other world of hassle to install. No matter how good you are the ferrules always come out crooked, well nearly always. Shit, right, that’s a good point. With my tools I’d only ever be able to do a fairly mediocre job. Re: Bridge, I would look for an o...

Re: NBD - Squier Bronco Bass
Those electronics look dodgy as fuck! Haha, they do. Sounding fine, though. I was thinking about getting a Mustang bridge for it, but, looks like they're going for about 50% the cost of the bass itself... If I do that, and go ahead and replace the electronics, I could probably double the cost. Coul...

NBD - Squier Bronco Bass
Last week I needed to travel to the passport office for... reasons. I decided to hit all the main music stores in the province on the way to try and find a Vintera II Bass VI. No love on that front, but on the last stop I impulse bought a Bronco instead. I've wanted a Bronco for about 20 years, but ...

Most excellent!
I nabbed plans for a winder in mid or late 2020, but haven’t pulled the parts together yet… this is inspiring.

Re: Jazz Bass tuner - pinion gear screw size
Japanese; second run Aerodyne. More digging and it might be a #12-24 3/4”… but perhaps not. I’ve temporarily put a rack unit mounting screw in it to prevent things falling out… and aside from being too long, it threaded in ok, so might be 10-32. Tried to cut one down with a hack saw, but the steel i...

Jazz Bass tuner - pinion gear screw size
Hey Shortscale; it's been a while. At some point it seems the screw holding the pinion gear on my Jazz Bass D-string tuner fell out, and I can't find it, nor the washer it had with it. Luckily, the pinion gear held in place... but now I need replacements. http://i.ibb.co/44rCDQD/IMG-7864.jpg I'm not...

Re: New fender Aerodine SpecIal series
I really like a couple of these new Aerodyne finishes aesthetically, and I'd like to grab a Tele and a P-Bass, but the 12" radius and hot pickups kinda turn me off. My Aerodyne Tele is my favourite and main guitar. But I don't really like these for some reason. I'm sort of gassing after an Aero...

Re: So, I uh, might have done something kind of stupid..
That looks sick. didn't realize there were any other Aerodyne Tele players on the forum. Phenomenal playing and sounding guitars. Does yours have any issues with the switch and the bridge pickup? I even replaced the switch a few years back and it's still occasionally not working until I toggle it a ...

Re: wound G/3rd string... holy cow.
I got them for my Jag first, but use them on everything now. There is a little more tension on the 25.5 and 24.75s, but still very playable.71Smallbox wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 2:08 pm I might try this on my Jaguar. I know I definitely would not try this on my Jazzmaster or Strat.

Re: "Player Plus" Meteoras
I've always dug the Meteora design, and an HH setup works for them, I think. Not too big on that 12" radius and big ol' frets, but otherwise they seem decent.
The basses, I'm less sold on, mainly the active electronics - you can bypass 'em but they're bumping the price up.

Re: wound G/3rd string... holy cow.
D'Addario EXL115W is my default string choice over the past couple years - wound G makes a HUGE tuning stability difference, both for shortscale, and standard Fender/Gibson scales. Took a tiny bit of getting used to at first, but I'm a iffy player, and don't do many bends, so it works out great for ...

Re: I want to play with myself
I've been using my TC Alter Ego x4 for looping; I love having the 4 buttons for control (record, play, play once, clear)... but I've been wanting the flexibility of either having the delay separate, or the looper separate so that I can control both independently (you can delay in the loop, but it's ...
Re: Dunno
I really dig the sounds, and the overall vibe of the sound. It's got a strong pulse I never have any patience to complete something, i hate it, i get bored quickly, but then again, it's ok to admit it's more about the joy of creating in moments and then moving on to something else. Fuck, relate to t...
