great find man, and its cleaned up real nice - especially that tuner, i thought it might have been ink. either way you did well, now that its clean you could flip it for even more, or keep it forever as a great example of a lefty. 2200 or whatever was a bargain basement price especially now how it l...

Re: What's the fretboard radius of a 90's Mustang (65RI) ?
I have some birthday money that's burning a hole in my pocket. Got my eye on a '65 Reissue (CIJ) Fender Mustang from the 1990's. $695 used @ Emerald City in Seattle. Can someone confirm what the fretboard radius on these guitars is? I'm hoping for 7.25" since I already have a Jaguar CP Special...

referenced below: Around 1970, the regular Mustangs were discontinued and replaced by the Competition Mustangs. None of the feature on Mustangs really change until about 1973 and since a '67 Mustang isn't really worth more than a '72 Mustang, I don't think anybody really took great interest during t...

cause they mark the transition from the good mustangs to the lousy post 1974 mustangs. The pearloid pickguards from this era are teh bomb, they look great. however the sunburst models and some rare comps start to get the plain white pickguards during this period. the second string tree just looks re...

or you could go the other way and get a nice 73 for about 9 hundry, see ebay 270940512779. Mustangs from 1970-1973 are sweet guitars. This is the non matching headstock era. Things to remember about this era: Never, ever go beyond a 1973 neck date or code You can get comp red, orange, blue or sunbur...

MYTHICAL PRE 1969 NON-COMP MUSTANG WITH BODY CONTOURS
Fender Mustang Story knows for a fact that there are mid to late 60's mustangs, non competition (ie Dakota Red, Olympic White & Daphne Blue) with body contours.

Squiers are great guitars, well built and a very cheap price point. my main beef is that they are so good, why not just put a fender decal on them. I don't care if a guitar is made in Japan or China or Indonesia or Mexico. All these countries can produce fantastic instruments if the parent company l...
