i think the chrome pickups were from launch in 66 to sometime in 1967. in 67 you start seeing the black pups and fender launched the Wildwoods. I've only ever seen Wwood with the black pups.

The checkered binding was an option in the early coronados. They always have Chrome pickups as it was only available early. I've read that it was Rickenbacker who did the special binding for Fender. USACG made me a paddle neck for it- this guitar will have a coro style neck on it. with a 7.25-9.5" radius. malagasy on maple.

I like mine....
$200 for the body, $40 bridge, $60 tailpiece, cheap pups that have to be rewound, etc. A Musikraft jazzmaster neck in the meantime.
