Hey to all! i just got some videos playing a short scale wich is a 1959 Musicmaster with a few modifications (bridge :Fender american vintage Hardtail, Mics : seymour ssl-1)

yeah, that makes sense about the bobbins. i never thought of the cover/no cover idea. it does seem silly to mod a 59 tho, especially if its all original, you know they only made 59 musicmasters in 59. but its your guitar, you do what you want. at least you are happy with the tone now. you modd'd a 59 fender musicmaster? you know the pickups were all the same for strats, duos, musicmasters, and the early mustangs and duo sonics too, i believe they were all wound the same. efficient i guess. strats are fun, but im more into a good tele.
