Thanks for the clarity guys. I just wasn't really sure if the jag pup screws threaded into the pup base or passed through them to screw into the body. Also, thanks for the info on the QP'S.

Jaguar pickups under mustang guard?

Can I mount Jag pickups to the guard using robroes without any issues? I believe Jag pups mount to the body just like a Jazzy with the pads underneath. Thanks.

I think it's safe to say the Swinger/Maverick is one guitar that will never be reissued. But if you love Fenders as I do, I wouldn't mind having one hanging around. Might need a few stiff drinks before playing, though.

Damn that Coronado is sugar. I love it when CAR yellows to more of a copper metallic. Not to mention the Herring Bone binding on the body. Are the pickups missing some sort of black cover to them. Others I 've seen were black with chrome outside pointy covers.

Rob you have me laughing at myself. Thanks for that as I needed to laugh. Now I know that if I want someone to answer a question to post the untruth as the answer. Still though, my reissue compstang definitely has an A neck as I have a certified B neck to compare it with. But you say otherwise. I wo...

Strike that, Reverse that! Ok, My Jap Competition Mustang reissue neck width is 1 1/2"(or 1 8/16"). That means it is an A NECK. I have not played a 65 reissue, but all other ri Mustangs HAVE AN A NECK. Now, My vintage 65 Mustang stamped 8 NOV 65 B has a neck width of 1 10/16"(or 1 5/8...

Reissue Jaguar Neck Width ?

What is it? I have never played one. I have a RI Jazzmaster & the nut width is 1 11/16". It also has a dark rosewood fretboard with white clay dots. Is the Jagaur the same? It seems that the Jags have pearl dots & regular rosewood. But is the nut 1 5/8" or 1 11/16"? Thanks.

Actually, you can't.

The site makes no mention that I can find, but it looks like the saddles have magnets incorperated into them? From a design stand point, I can't understand why they would try to make the perfect bridge but it not be able to use a bridge cover or mute(not that it matters that much, but still). I don'...

I put a 4 ply perloid 65 ri guard on my competition ri. It did not fit that well at first. It did fit just fine after I loosened the bridge plate & control plate and tightened down the guard first. The bridge plate fits up against it flush and the control plate has a slight gap on the bottom hal...

"They're available for childrens birthday parties and bar mitzva's." Have to give the host credit for not missing a beat. That Ween video was on Beevis N' Butthead back in the day. Every time I watch it now all these adolescent memories come rushing back.

It looks like someone tried to glue the guard down flat at some point. Does anyone have a fix to flatten a warped guard? Only thing I can think of is to sandwich it between glass and let it sit in vey hot water. You know Kurt would never route his competition stang for a bucker. Only his jap reissue...

It also has the deeper tummy contour like vintage stangs. So comfortable. I'm not sure if the mex cyclone's are the same.

What methods are you using to age the witch hats? I have been aging new pickup covers by letting them tan in the sun during the day, then having them inhale clouds of cigarette smoke in the evening while I enjoy a pint or three. I really like my results. It's like painting with cancer sticks. I hav...

Tragic. You cannot polish a turd. Wait a second.... No, it's still true. You cannot polish a turd. A Jagmaster is a great value, but I wouldn't buy that custom garage shop for fiddy dollas?
