Have you just tried cutting the lows and or mids on your amp? I find, particularly with fender tone stacks (which I think the delta blues has) cutting the mids really brightens and instrument up... and that bass can get really out of control fast. Sometimes I use a twin through a 4x12 cab and I rea...

This may be a stupid question, but, since you talk about function over form, are you putting a typical Jag rhythm circuit in there? If so, do people actually use those? I don't have a Jag (yet!), but I can't imagine using that circuit... maybe an active boost or some sort of eq or one of Bill Lawenc...

Yeah, I do like how all the chrome looks on a jag. I haven't made up my mind, yet. I was also considering doing something totally different like, gasp, no pickguard... But I'd have to do a good job doing the pup routes...

I have one of rondo's short scale jazz basses. Good quality for the price. I changed the tuners, the bridge, and the pups. Thanks for the quick replies. Short scale telemaster deluxe! I like it. Hadn't thought of it that way. Yupp, definitely want to go the hardtail route. I actually just found the much cheaper bridge I put on my GE Smith style tele I put together... http://cgi.ebay.com/Wilkinson-Chrome-WTBC-Guitar-Brid...

Jaguar project

Hi! First post! A friend of mine gave me a jaguar body he made. Nothing's routed on it except the neck pocket, so it's kind of a clean slate.
