as dumb as the lyrics are in that song, I really must admit I love that lead riff. I can't say I'm too sure why.

Poke fun if you will, but I really do love the TK-300 headstock. Hockey stick style.

That guitar almost looks like someone flashing a crowd. You'd just need to use a trench coat instead of gigbag. Also, that weird red gibson with red humbuckers looks pretty neat. What model is it? It looks far more teisco than anything else they do. PS: I'm really sorry for dragging this thing so fa...

Awh man! I was hoping for a "ha, ha" after my wicked net joke.

However you are right. I hadn't noticed the pickups. I'm not a fan of open humbuckers ever, but they look amazing. Are they bronze, or wood colored? Even still they are hard to see when squished inside that exploding candy cane.

Ugh.

Yes, twelve hours of work will do that. The LP uke made me look at the eastwood uke (really pretty, but a little expensive) and then I clicked to the eastwood mandocaster. Only after that did I reply.

I've edited the above post to remove confusion. re: I like the idea of an electric uke.

I wonder if they will bring it out in any other finishes? I'd like an electric ukulele and the guard is pretty sharp. Not a fan of the flame whatever burst though. I like my instruments to be as wood looking as possible (boring)

My lack of sleep is showing.

By strat trem, I mean strat jack plate / route.

Maybe they did this bridge using this strange 2-bolt-mountig system because the only modification they'd need to do for a classic vibe version would be a trem routing behind it? If that is the case, I would rather wait for that :) As much as I hate to doubt it, I definitely do. If they were plannin...

Gosh, if I lived a little closer, or could justify spending any extra money I'd be all over this.

I have a 78 that I love, and really want a second. Every time I see one I realize that I barely have reason for two.

I've pre-ordered the two tone jazzy from my local music shop. Hopefully I will have it for some torn down pics sooner rather than later.

Not as much a fan of maple! I'll probably play with it for a bit though.

I'm going to go put a deposit on one in a couple of days.

This is my big mod plan. Fill and sticker the strat hole, add some chrome. I may swap the neck for another rosewood one I have, and then either a trapeze tailpiece or goofy trem (if I can afford it, a vibrola)

I remember hearing that he used that recording guitar live for a really long time, like at his long standing residency in New York.

Doesn't it have a mic input on the top?

It's a great body, I just wish it had a different bridge, pickguard, more metal, less humbucker, and a different headstock.

That sounded negative but I really do love that body shape.

After seeing this I really kind of dig the idea of an electric with a parlor guitar shape. It looks pretty swanky! If I had any building ability, it would be neat to build one much like the top. Single pickup, and a piezo bridge. Then have a single knob to blend the two signals. Perhaps make it look...

I usually like my guitars to look nice (to me, nice is non banged up) but something about the wear on that is really flashy. Is that an open spot on the top horn? I would just put something on it to ensure it doesn't get really screwed up, like ensure the wood stays good underneath, and then put a n...

I don't really play any of my newer tastes. I mostly play piano now so rarely learn guitar based songs. The odd time when I have nothing to do, I will break out one of a few older albums I dug in highschool and play through them. Most of them are easy enough to pick up as you go along. The Paperback...

I think Ill just have to wait until I start putting this together I s'pose! I think Ill shove the LR baggs acoustic thing I have in there to see if its a sound that I want, and then maybe go from there. As for the trying a pickup everywhere, why not just wire a spare pickup to a quarter inch jack, a...

Has anyone run into a recording (or youtube demo) that shows the pickup picking up the sympathetic ringing instead of just the picking? I like the idea of that extra possible layer but once again, it would be nice to actually experience it through pickup before doing it to my own. I feel like with y...
