Fender USA maybe, but Fender JAPAN offers an ass-ton of Mustang options. They love it over there.

I tried putting my CV Duo neck on my Strat body, and it totally didn't work. When I bolted it on, there was a huge gap between the butt of the neck and the bottom of the pocket, plus the scale was off. When I moved the neck all the way down into the pocket, it was close; but would've required fillin...

Now they just need to make the SC-1 available again, and sell it for less than $500.

Would it be worth setting up with the tunomatic? the top string seem's a little off but the seller did say have a set up to be fair to him, I just love the feel of the thing! I have a very similar guitar with an added TOM (VERY crudely done) and I love the shit out of it. By all means string it up/...

I find discarded organs in the trash with some regularity, and I always try to strip them of their speakers (if not blown), knobs (if they have any- some don't) and reverb tanks. Back in the mid 80's I had a godawful PEAVEY Backstage amp with a tiny little reverb tank. I found a 18" long one in...

I've always been a fan of the Casio keyboard that also had the on board calculator. Can't think of the name right now. The NAILS used one for the compu-rhythm sound in 88 LINES ABOUT 44 WOMEN. Too cool.

Mercenary bastard-whores Gibson has become, I'm sure it'll become a standard item (albeit with a different name, perhaps) if they take off. They do look smart, I have to admit. Somebody buy one and give us a report/review ASAP please!

Seconded! I'm the proud (if closeted!) owner of a 1987 Charvel Model 2, and it is an amazing player. Just might be the pinnacle of Japanese craftmanship.

I'm not sure about LEAD II coppies, but having owned several models from the series, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Hondo II Professional Series LONGHORNS. They were apparently built by TOKAI, and the quality is amazing- even for the increasingly high prices these have been bringing as of late.

I like the black pickup on the light wood. Really looks good.
Like how expensive are we talking here? It really is a relative thing, after all!

Hey back to thread-iness here for a moment. Back in the 90's DAVE'S had the most wicked custom-color RICKENBACKERS all the time. Does he (do they) still do that stuff as well?

pretty much jagmaster and ibanez jet king are your choices for budget 24" scale guitars. or just keep a look out for cheap 70s musicmasters and such, sometimes you can find some good deals. if you just want an offset I would take a look at the Fernandes Decade or the GFS offsets. No, it has to...

I'd probably be tempted to bite if the Venus was a 12. Those things have gotten stupid pricey as of late (or so it seems). Crazy as it might sound to some, I'm actively searching for a Vista Music Master at the moment. They originally sold for $179 (made in China...) so you'd think they'd be easy en...
