Wish I had this about 6 months ago, would have made life a hell of alot easier for me. I had this practically spot on - only thing I dont have is the series bright switch, I just have two bright switches for all positions and I think I prefer that. Can get double the brightness If I ever wish than w...

My Johnny Marr Jaguar (tribute)

Nope, not the real deal After reading about Marr's Jaguar early last year in Guitarist mag, I decided I wanted the same specs as his on a Jaguar. I rate Marr as an influence, but it wasnt so much I wanted it because it was his, I wanted it because I thought it was genius - the way he has set up his ...

I've not started it yet mate, don't want to start the wiring when I don't know what I'm doing.

I know how to wire it into the tele wiring, but don't want to go too far on that in case there is something I need to do inbetween so that the switches work.

Started a Johnny Marr-Inspired Jag last year...on to wiring!

Started a Johnny Marr Jag last year, not expecting a Sig Model. Its took a while, but I am making switft progress, and could be finished once I sort out the wiring. It has a tele four way switch, instead of the 3 selectors. I want to keep the high pass filter, and also have ANOTHER high pass filter ...

Have already started these mods on my MIJ olympic white Jag. Absolutely love this though.

Anyone know how his Jag would get the 'Treble Boost Switch' to work? Wire in resistor to the switch? Im guessing the hi-pass switch will just be the 0.003 cap.

Not keen on the mods, but a lovely paisley all the same. Think they have reissued them again havent they?

Alot of people think Tokai nailed it with the paisley, being more like the original paisley tele's than the new Fender reissues.

Thanks for the replies. It was only because I had the chance to buy the classic players pups that I asked, as I did have my heart set on AVRI, but meant importing them from the states. I have bit the bullet, went for the AVRI's and 2x 1 meg pots and vintage wire, so the transformation shall begin. Q...

Dont necesserily want 'hot', just 'hotter' than the MIJ pickups, which are the only downfall of the Jag, along with the rest of the electronics which I also intend to change out.

Question on Jaguar Pickups (and pickguards)

I have a 94-96 MIJ Jaguar that I intend to switch the pickups out on. They just arent hot enough for my liking, so was always set on a set of AVRI Jag pickups just to get that extra bite. A set of Classic Player single coils have come up for sale recently, and I'm wondering just how much of a differ...
