This really only happened on one of my three Mustangs but I had one that loved to eat the high E string. Usually, wrapping the string a couple more times than I normally would helped. I've not cut off the E string whereas I thijnk I normally would a bit at the end. Was a bitch to wind. Hopefully th...

Like dots said, rough metal somewhere in the bridge or tailpiece/trem can lead to repeated string breakage. You can also try some nut sauce if all else fails. Also, possibly troll physics here but is it possible that the strings being wound on the tuners backwards could give you just a little too m...

It is a bit of a looker alright, though I can never decide whether to swap out the plate for a Pearloid(make it more Mustang like) or spray it black, or leave as-is. Some chips on it already - second hand, doesn't look like it was used up from the horrible way it was set up, could have gotten a few ...

I did actually buy a Jag in the end.
I am OCD and need closure.

I used it to record something I like to call "Doogstep".

Expect the usual cycle of Buy new guitar -> HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE MOST AWESOME THING EVER -> I think a different bridge would be nice -> I think different pickups would be nice -> I think I'll try adding an internal Ring Mod or some bullshit -> I think I need to sell it and try a different guitars -...

That pickup will suit you for higher gain stuff but it is a stacked humbucker, so I presume it'd sound different to a stock JM pickup. I'm guessing the Novak HC uses a dummy coil for the hum-cancelling so that it retains a lot of single coil character tonally. Gibson P100s were like this and are a ...

Yeah, but I've been looking for a guitar for a while. I've always wanted a Jag, I just had to play some short scale necks to make sure my hands weren't too big. I guess I'm the kind of person who really does push ahead with things, but to be fair, I don't really have one reliable, decent guitar so I...

Yeah - import tax isn't guaranteed though, the last guitar I ordered didn't get hit for it, though it was worth less. If it was marked as gift it might not get hit. I think it may be possible to pay EU taxes up front rather than dealing with the rather high Irish taxes in specific. I dunno, I don't ...

Alright, so I was really interested in the Burgundy Mist Jag in the other thread, but the guy who was thinking of selling it has disappeared so I have no idea whether he wants to sell it or not. Since then, a Candy Apple Red Classic Player has come up on eBay, and he says he'll ship internationally....

Hi, sorry, does anyone have purplehaze's contact details? There's a CP Jag up on eBay I might like that's ending tomorrow night, but I'd still prefer the Burgundy Mist if I can get it. I gave him a few days to think about it but now he's disappeared off the edge of the earth, hasn't been on the foru...
