Nice work, I like it. Where did you get it from originally? And if you don't mind me asking, where about in Australia are you from? It doesn't seem like there are many of us on here and I'm yet to meet someone who is even remotely interested in shortscales, vintage or non. Unless it's a Strat or Les...

Some interesting opinions. It still seems as if no-one has actually seen a MG77 in the flesh. I'm surprised it's hard for you to get Fender JApan stuff. Is it because we're so close? Surely not. Plus the Aus dollar is amazing compared to most other currencies, now's the time to buy overseas for us. ...

MG77 The "Official" Maplestang???
A lot of people seem to say how much they'd love a maplestang whenever they're mentioned, but there's only one thread that really talks about the Japanese MG77. It seems like they're pretty easily available, they're on eBay and a guitar shop here in Sydney say they can get anything in from Fender Ja...

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I shall share with the rest of the band. The drummer is in another band called Outlier, I'm sure a google of Outlier+sydney should wield some results. We just aren't sure of how we should classify ourselves, we don't want people to get the wrong idea or some mis...

We haven't really heard that before, a lot of our stuff is dark(ish) but we probably wouldn't say goth. That song is what we consider to be our most poppy. We haven't been able to describe ourselves well yet, she's a bit more theatrical than just a band playing music, but we don't want to use the wo...

My Band (w/ Bronco Action)
Here's a clip my uni took of my group playing a gig. There's a few money shots of me and my 1978 Bronco and hopefully you should get a bit of an idea of how it sounds.

Thanks for all the replies! They're a great help. I've always been reluctant to start taking apart my guitars but i'll order some new strings and go for it. In the meantime I think i'll make a start on my strat or ovation viper. WRT checking the tuning at the 12th fret, I saw somewhere before sayin...
