I went with the Staytrem on my Blacktop Jazzy as well as my Bass VI.

No looking back. They work great and don't look like a piece of alien technology.

He gave it to me a few years back.

Hey, not sure what you ended up doing, but I highly recommend the Staytrem bridge for the BT JM.
Feels and sounds great!

WHERE'D YOU GET THE MATCHING HUMBUCKER RING?!?! The Kent Armstrong P90 comes with the ring...which is angled a bit. For those interested in putting one in a BT JM, you want the version at the link below, which is NOT the RW/RP version. And when you wire it up, you want to swap the red& white le...

I don't understand why anyone would use a bridge cover. Seems like it would seriously limit your technique....no palm muting on the bridge. :?:

Nice! I wish my Tort guard had a more pronounced white outline. I think the one I got might be mint green in the inner layer instead of white <sigh>

That does look pretty hot. I'm still wanting to get one and put a P-Rail in the bridge. The Staytrem is a fantastic idea to go with it. A few years back I had a BTJM with a P-Rail in the bridge. Also a great option...but I usually found I was in P90 mode. From memory, this Kent Armstrong P90 sounds...

Newish GD: Squier Bass VI with Staytrem

Staytrem is a must have on these things. Intonated great and feels solid...as expected. I have a MIJ Trem that I'll probably put on there when I get around to changing the strings. These guitars are so versatile and satisfy my need to have a bass for dropping basslines on my recordings and for The C...

Thread resurrection... I just stumbled back onto this thread and saw that EJM wanted to hear my BT JM with a P-Rails pickup doing some high-gain stuff. I don't even have this guitar anymore...foolishly sold it to a friend right before I moved from LA back to Chicago. I just bought another one and ha...

What do you think about the bass vi? I saw one last week in a store and i was terrified about the weight. Are they all so heavy? This one plays really nice. The pickup selections give you a good range of tones to choose from, though the 3 slide switches are a bit clunky. Heavy? Well, it IS a bass g...

Looks good.... how does it sound and feel ??? I like the neck shape, but I haven't been able to properly play it yet. Still needs to be cleaned up and restrung in a terrible way.Probably won't get an opportunity until Friday. It's much heavier than I expected for such a relatively small guitar. Mus...

Thanks! I am really looking forward to playing the Jag HH.

I had a couple of Vista Jagmasters back in the day that I loved, but always wished they had a Jag vibrato instead of the strat style trem. This seems to be the guitar I always wanted. I just wish they were available in Black.
