Thanks for the help. I took one of the extra springs out and unscrewed the two screws a bit and the bridge was raised a little bit. Will this cause problems with the action and neck by any chance??

Making an American-style Strat bridge float?

I've got a 2009 Squier Deluxe Stratocaster and it has an American-style tremolo bridge. I've seen examples of having the bridge float off the body a little bit. How would I make the bridge float on my Strat? It has four springs installed and it's strung up with 10 gauge strings. Would I need to remo...

Most likely I'm not going to modify my Jagmaster. I actually like everything about it and nothing on it is bad. I've been playing my Agile Argus Bass VI a lot lately and I'm thinking about doing some simple mods to it. I'm thinking about adding a Jaguar bridge with the vibramute, gotoh tuners, and p...

Thanks for the advice zedoktor! Modding my Jagmaster has been a huge goal that I've been wanting to start. And since I've got my vacation from college coming up, I need something to do. I checked out guitarfetish.com and they've got a huge selection of parts. I'm most likely going to get the stuff I...

Now I'm starting to think it's just going to be a waste of time modifiying the Jagmaster. I've had it for 2 years and it's never had any problems. So why change what doesn't need to be fixed..everything on the stock Jagmaster is perfect!

Hey taylornutt, that video was great! I have a few questions..when you installed the gotoh vintage tuners, how did you get them to fit properly? Is sheilding paint the best option to use when working with an electric guitar? Does pickguardian have more options for Squier guitars? Thanks for the help...

Possibly modifying a Jagmaster

I'm new here and this is my first post. I'm considering modifying my stock 2008 Squier Jagmaster. I planned to add 2 on/off/on mini toggle switches in place of the 3-way switch, replace the stock tone pot and replace it with a push/pull tone pot to coil tap the neck and bridge pickups (are the stock...
