I don't see why they wouldn't. They know that the quality is there, and they know the QC is there. I bet a CVC Tele with "Fender" on the head-stock will sell more than the Squier version, especially at an affordable price.

Just out of curiosity, who shipped the guitar? USPS? FedEx? DHL?

That finish looks a lot less olive green than the Japanese antigua reissues too. The Stratocaster is tempting if it's in the same price range as the other FSR Fenders.

Yeah, it's only a 2x12. IIRC, the Bandmaster cabinets have an insulated enclosure for each speaker, which is why they're so large.

NCD: Fender Bandmaster Cabinet

I've been keeping my eye out for original Bandmaster cabs, and one popped up at my local Music Go Round. Haven't looked inside the cabinet, but it has some really nice sounding Eminence speakers. Seemed like a decent deal for a vintage, matching cabinet for my amp. The increased cabinet size definit...

Silverface Pro-Reverbs are usually around $700-$1000 around here. You may want to look into Bandmaster Reverbs or Dual Showman Reverbs. If you look at the silverface or even reissue stuff, it shouldn't go over $1500 and will get you really close to the classic Fender sounds. Was this amp an early Bl...

My guess is that it would be power tubes. When my Deville did that it was power tubes at least.

I use a Jensen C12Q and Mojotone/Weber AV12C with my Bandmaster and I love the tone. I didn't like the Modern Lead 70s I had with the cab - maybe it was the midscoop? The Jensen and AV12C combo I have is a little bit on the bright side, but is a really smooth speaker combination.

Where'd you get it?[/quote]
I got it at Joann Fabric for approximately $10/yard. It was much easier than having grill clothe shipped, and I thought it was a nice change :).

http://bestnetworx.com/uploader/files/261/IMG_20111005_232418%202.jpg New speakers ended up requiring a new speaker baffle. The old baffle was falling apart, and the person who put the Celestion Modern Lead 70s in made it so it was impossible to remove cleanly. Mojotone (Weber) AV12C and Jensen C12...

Based on CPI, that'd be about $638.32 in 2011 dollars.

Those SGs look nice. I wonder how they play compared to the cheaper SGs and the (for a Gibson) 60s Tribute. If they're good Epiphones, I bet they'll be great guitars.

I vote Classic 6, after getting mine. The build quality on mine is great and the pickups are nice. Seems much more of a guitar than the price. The Sheraton I played didn't seem quality enough for the higher price. YMMV though. I believe Eastwood has shifted to TOM style bridges and not the typical a...

Yay for a proper cabinet for my Bandmaster. Music Go Round by me had a mid-60s (I believe) Bassman 2x12 for $90. Has some Celestions in it right now that I gather are on the cheaper end of Celestion's range, but it sounds better than the speakers in my 4x12 since it's the right impedance for the amp...

Always seemed easier to set up the Mustang bridge properly since it's designed for the Mustang's neck radius. Easiest way would be to somehow install the studs into the Mustang tremolo system, or tape it a lot/

Great website. It was down for awhile and only way to read it was the cached versions. Looks like he put it back up. Helped me get the tone that I wanted before I got my Bandmaster. I wish more gear websites were organized as well.

Did the Bandmaster and Bassman cabs use the same speakers? There's a mid 60s Bassman cab for 149 near me, but maybe 40 min away. Probably worth traveling to see regardless. Seems like most bandmaster/bassman cabs run $200, but are always on the other side of the country from me.

For that price I'd rather just a SF Twin and a bunch of pedals. $1000 for what it is, is a bit ridiculous IMO.
