I know I'm super late to the party... but this is awesome. I've been wanting to do a JagStang or Cyclone bass build for a while now, and this is really good inspiration. I sold off all my Fender/Squire short scale basses... but a project bass would be awesome... I think it'd be rad to try to replica...

That's disheartening... BUT, good to know, none the less.

I played it with the Gretsch pickups this past Saturday, and it sounded well enough.

But, I'm still going to be trying the original pickups over the next few days. So we'll see how that goes.
