No no no, there's the Correct Internet Forum Approved order, then there's cowboy town, with pedals all over the place.

Re: Stacking drives/distortions, where would you place them?

That's what I thought I did, but that isn't reflected in the list above. I suppose I do do that, but within each class of pedal, where the classes are ordered: boost > fuzz/distortion > overdrive > amp-in-a-box > klon where klon is basically a class of its own. So my old board used to be: Saltbooste...

No neck pickup, no controls, and no strings? That's pretty committed to seeing where this minimalist approach leads.

Between this and the hifi thread, you've been doing well out of yard sales recently!

It warms my heart that bargains are still there to be had.

Re: After some dirt pedal inspiration

I also played with Marshall in a box type pedals extensively about a decade ago, and gigged with a board that was pretty much fuzzes and overdrives. The other drive pedal on my board (apart from an always on Klone at the end of the chain) was a Timmy clone (the Danophobia one), which was very amp li...

Hopefully! I want you to have to lash something together out of bits from a '90s Skybox remote and a disused microwave.

Re: NGD: Line 6 Variax 300

Good work. Although is it bad that I sort of want the switch/encoder to start acting up again so that we get to see you solve the problem of not being able to get a replacement right off the shelf?

Re: NGD: Line 6 Variax 300

I'd don't think I'd ever get into it, but I'd love to see this idea follow the evolution that modeling and computer processing did. It feels as though there should be a product that looks like a guitar, but contains loads of guitar models and tunings built in, your pedals and your amps. Straight to ...

Re: new tom delonge starcaster controversy

On the one hand, I think that it's sort of shitty. On the other hand, Blink 182 were a band for stupid people who didnt like music but wanted to look cool. If Fender wants continue to give those people what they want, now that they're in their forties and have disposable income, it's hard to feel sy...

Re: Black Japanese resurrection

Gorgeous. I usually don't like 1 pickup guitars, but there's a lovely symmetry between the pickup and the bridge which balances it. I could easily imagine some exotic luthier making these with rosewood necks and charging £2,000 for one (more if you want extras, like paint). The no dot at 3 didn't ev...
