sunburst pretty much always looks good as long as: a.) the top isn't flamed, burled, or whatever b.) it isn't a strat. in pretty much any other case it's fine. I agree... Actually I like mids, but from few samples I've heard guitar sounded maybe tad too brite for my taste... Can bet it's mostly about amp... this guitar is destined to sound killer on Marshall vintage say JMP, JTM45 or something in that direction. Maybe it's strings, maybe it's amp.... I can't tell but...

I have CV50s Tele and I don't really like those necks (really thin).

VSP are premium Japanese Fenders.
They come with nitro finishes among other things, that solely makes them more vintage correct.
The only prob is that they cost almost double as "normal" model which makes them... a bit expensive .
