Re: Octave Up recommendations
Only one I have first hand experience of is the EHX Micro POG. The tracking's fantastic but the octave tones can sound a bit synthetic. Not sure I ever tried the octave up with bass though.
Probably not much help, sorry.
I'm sure someone else will be able to chip in with something more useful

Re: HELP COMPUTER: modding a Boss pedal
I've honestly tried pretty much them all at this point, even weird rare ones) maintains or even BOOSTS that sharp attack. I guess that's the nature of distortion really. Did you try the PW-2? It was, IIRC, supposedly their attempt at a Big Muff style pedal. Hurb did an demo of the Behringer clone: ...

Re: Rapier Guitars, ie: Alan Entwistle is at it again.
That guitar company owned by "Chappers" and the Andertons bloke make some guitars in the UK. Like NickD says, they're not cheap though (£3.5k). They're also fucking hideous. Pretty sure they're not what Eric had in mind with his "British guitar design aesthetic" :D http://www.cha...

Re: Rapier Guitars, ie: Alan Entwistle is at it again.
So, Burns is still out for the count since its purchase by Andertons guitars. They've said that it is coming back SOON (SOOOOOOOOON!) but there appears to be no real word on that at this point. And as if by magic... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hOhMwSYB74 Although looks like these are something ...

Re: Rapier Guitars, ie: Alan Entwistle is at it again.
I've got a John Hornby Skewes tuner knocking around somewhere that I bought 30+ years ago. God that makes me feel old.

Re: New Squier Paranormal Range
Someone over on Offset has just found some pictures of a shell pink Rascal bass on Fender’s website. Looks like there might be more colours coming out at some point? Maybe a retailer specific FSR?

Re: New Squier Paranormal Range
If I didn't already have a Venus XII, I'd be all over that LPB Jazzmaster XII. Can't really justify having more than one twelve string though.
Quite like the green Rascal bass.

Re: Fender Junior Collection Jazzmaster mini offsets
No. They were 22.75” scale Squiers with hard tail strat bridges and hambakers.
These are 24” scale Fenders with like proper Jazzmastery bridges and pickups.
Still might not stay in tune I suppose but I’d imagine they’d probably be fine.

Re: New Behringer synths
Yeah, I'd seen that. I've been thinking of picking up a Poly D for a while now. They used to be available (new) for a shade over £450 but are currently £650+. Would be good if these price cuts bring them back down under £500. I think the really big cuts are on the modular synths (System 55 / 35 / 15).

Roland SH-5 clone. They first mentioned this a couple of years back but it's apparently nearing production:

Re: New Behringer synths
I'd be quite up for an 8 voice Juno. 5 octaves would be preferable to 4 though.
I hope Behringer actually start getting some of these synths in the shops. They seem to have announced so much cool stuff but not a lot of it seems to have filtered through to an actual release yet.
