I'm liking it.

I love the 50th anniversary guitars, I played one like yours in a local shop when they first got it in. I don't even mind the repositioned trem.

I do wish fender had put a better bridge on, and if they'd colour-matched the headstock...

Ha ha, I love the way they bleat on about how identical the guitars are, then at the last minute, mention that one of them is chambered! So not identical at all then.

I think the 70's headstock is the best thing about it! The rest I can take or leave.

Looks like an American Special Strat:

My estimate probably was a bit high. Still, somebody had to start somewhere...

Inevitably, that look will come back into fashion so it might be worth hanging onto it. Or pre-empt the hair metal revival & start playing it NOW, with the hair & keks.

It sold from £460 - just goes to show...
its probably taken quite a lot of man hours to get it looking as "good"
I definitely agree there, must be days of work gone into it. In terms of time = money, I reckon the seller probably made quite a loss.

Dunno if you've already looked on ebay, but there's a mustang body blank on at the mo - uk seller too. The seller mentions that it can be machined to your spec.

Might be worth asking a uk luthier if they could make you one? The templates are easy enough to get hold of.
