I always wondered why his Stangs looked like they had black marks in the middle of the switches. Seeing that video I guess they were cut down to reduce height instead of just lowering with washers or whatever.

Cobain Mustangs all have white neck pup covers now it looks like. Not sure if I like it on the red and LPB models. Wow that looks horrible. I am still trying to decide if I like white on my Sonic blue one. White on the other ones...yuck. It works on sonic blue because of the contrast with the tort ...

That colour is like aged nitro LPB, really nice. I think I like that better than the Fender LPB (Cobain Mustang)

If that came LH I would insta-buy one.

sfx- I dig your comp red, did you just buy that on ebay about six months ago? If so, you just barely outbid me :( Oh well, I'll get the next one :D Yep guilty as charged. :) I'd been chasing a lefty comp stang for about 10 years so thrilled about this one. I think my next one is going a MIJ Jazzmas...

It always looks interesting seeing the way the Fender logo fits on the lefty headstock. Yeah. I think I've only noticed the full regular decal on the red lefties. The yellow and blue ones all seem to have gotten the chopped competition decal. Though I'm sure I've seen a red lefty with the cream dec...

No, I think it's just an older neck that sat around for few years. My lefty comp stang has a 1965 neck on it if I remember correctly.

great find man, and its cleaned up real nice - especially that tuner, i thought it might have been ink. either way you did well, now that its clean you could flip it for even more, or keep it forever as a great example of a lefty. 2200 or whatever was a bargain basement price especially now how it ...

Hah. I came here to find some setup tips for this 1969 Lefty Mustang I just bought and I find it in this thread instead. Hello there. :) Welcome and congrats! I was one of the guys who drove up the cost, I probably would've bid a little bit more, but I'm closing on a house on Tuesday and I'm pretty...
