Holy crap! All these years I thought that maybe I was hallucinating! I have a Randall Commander I (RG-90A-115) that for the longest time I thought was part of some forgotten, parallel universe artifact. This thing was given to me years ago (yeah...given!) when I was just a young pup playing guitar i...

The Model One is a good p'up where it is loud, boomy, and no mud. You can put it in straight or wire it up for series/parallel (single coil even, but it sounds very much like parallel). Of course, I have one in a Bronco so your bass, opinions and experience will vary.

The few that I tried out before getting mine have all been that way. I kinda like it, being different from my other 2 glossy-neck basses, plus it has some cool looking birdseye spots on the neck. The p'up isn't the best, so I replaced mine with an old Modal One I found for $20. It just didn't solve...

Interesting. It's like an upside down, pointy Fernandes Vertigo. Looks way better than that Dano, which has this turning, spinning motion thing in my mind.

I leave for awhile, come back, and see this. Makes me regret a little poutting in a Model One in my Bronco bass.

That is killer.

I've recently acquired a Bronco in hopes of turning it into the same thing...sort of. It bugs me to have multiple guitars the same color and I already have a red one, so I'll probably do an refin in the spring. I'm leaning either surf green or graffiti yellow (possibly with black pickguard and/or co...

Yes, I did. It's not perfect, but it stands out in a good way.

Looks lovely.
Thanx, to both Mike and DanHeron. How'd you do that? I'm not quite as adept at this as I once was.

Used to lust after them and the 6-string equivalent when they came out... I like the control plate on yours. I had JUST gotten teh Kurdtz real bad and wanted a Mustang with a locked trem/bridge bucker, and then they came out with those... nobody had a word for it back then but I FELT like "fuu...

Thanx. Bought it a couple of years ago, just thinking of trying something new, and it became my #1 quickly.

Hello, all!

Just thought I'd show off my own li'l shortscale and join this shindig. http://www.flickr.com/photos/socaldesert/8001788174/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/socaldesert/8001787212/in/photostream/ I have other pictures, but I consider them too 'artsy' as I was just experimenting with my w...
