Re: new tom delonge starcaster controversy

They can't based on the fact they are foreigners. I think Fender is trying to commit an electoral fraud by sneaking one inside America changing their last name and claiming they are local

Re: Octave Up recommendations

yeeee, the cheeky Wideranger innit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tj25EkyLJns That's so sick! Both the guitar and the riff. Tbh, I don't know what kind of application I want to use an octave pedal for yet. I'll probably wind up just playing riffs on the low E string, but it would've been nice to be...

Doog wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 5:38 pm To be fair, I've barely used the OC-5 with a normal guitar playing full chords, just the "low E only" pickup on my Strat thing
Is it the one with a black humbucker?

For them thick tones ((rawk)) Tbh, I don't know what kind of application I want to use an octave pedal for yet. I'll probably wind up just playing riffs on the low E string, but it would've been nice to be able to play some chords too. Here's some of the videos with OC-5 http://youtu.be/WCsO8snWJYw?...

Re: Octave Up recommendations

I will probably end up getting an OC-5 anyway, because a Micro Pog is out of my price range and Sub'n'Up isn't sold anywhere within a couple thousand km from me.

Re: Octave Up recommendations

As far as I understand all the cheap Chinese octave pedals out there are just about a couple of shitty models that are sold under a dozen of different brands and names. None of them are good. The most affordable quality options are TC Electronic Sub'n'Up in both regular and mini format, and Boss OC-...

Re: Octave Up recommendations

Boss OC-5 seems to have good reviews. At the same time, people who own POGs tend to say that Pog is better in comparison.

Tight band and great acting. Makes my talentless butt extremely jealous of everyone's performance.

Re: Reverb you bitch!!!

It does look like a more expensive Fender with those appointments. I didn't even know they were making it. Looks really nice.

I had a bullet strat which I bought off an American seller on ebay, and it came stamped "Used" like that. As I understood, it was a store doing it.

Re: NGD - 1980 Takamine C-128 Classical

Looking gorgeous, congrats! Being a long time plywood dreadnoughts basher who can't play to save his life I always sort of despised classical guitars but one day sat down and played a friend's classical guitar and was amazed how big and full it sounded.

Re: After some dirt pedal inspiration

I have never tried it but Dolamo D-11 Vintage Distortion is considered a killer Rat clone I had one and dug it, but I'm pretty sure they use linear pots rather than log/audio pots, so 75% of the sound happens in 25% of the sweep; kinda annoying. Also, construction is "Happy Meal toy" leve...

I like the colour on this one. I remember a Cort strat in this colour that hung in the local shop for some time years ago

Re: NGD: Squier Debut Stratocaster

Affinities also have thinner bodies. I haven't tried any new ones, but if I wanted a new strat I'd buy that coral pink Sonic Strat and if I wanted a tele the purple humbucker equiped Sonic Esquier
