Thanks. The original neck pickup is in the bridge and another single coil, of undetermined origin, is in the neck.

Definitely! It looks like an older pro or really good semi-pro refinish.

I have seen posts in the past that a lot of the Musicmaster bass pickups are duds. I'll have to save one of my Laces for a "future" project. :)

Everyone always talks shit about Jeannie but everything I have got from him was top quality. As long as you call him to talk to him he gets everything perfectly.
The previous owner did this for me! :D

I saw a few comments that he can be temperamental. Then again, everything is custom.

One of my new acquisitions. Squier VM Duo Sonic with custom pickguard by Jeannie, Bullock pickups (Vintage/Hot with Alnico 5 magnets), and brass saddles. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h248/danzigdan/P1000914_zpsa4d4e4d1.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h248/danzigdan/P1000915_zps5256d0b7.jpg

I like it. However, I started getting into his playing and it made me want a Tele HH. I bought a 2003 or 04 USA Tele HH with the S-1 switching, etc. and you know what? To me it's just another guitar with two humbuckers. I never bonded with it. If I buy a Tele again, it's going to sound like a Tele!
