I've always thought of the idea of having a separate pickup for the lower strings on a guitar and a separate output to send to a bass amp, and whatnot. It seems like a nifty idea to fill things out a bit in a band with only a guitarist or something like that.

Put simply: Keep lights on a separate circuit from anything else. Stage lights (especially Lekos (spotlights) and PARs (can lights)) draw a tonne of power (Average 750W each? Jesus... I wouldn't even run two of them on a single circuit). They cause a large amount of interference with audio and video...

those crate powerblocks were like 150 watts solid state, really small, and stereo, and cheap as hell, new. looks like they dont make em anymore, but that and a 1x15 cab would be clean and loud, for sure. the guitarist of deerhoof was playing this setup the second time i saw them, and he was peeling...

Funny enough, I got into Mustangs because I saw the RI's in a Fender catalogue when I was getting into guitars. I just thought that they looked awesome! haha

The EH Holy Grail is quite a solid reverb pedal. My brother's used one for a few years, and it's definitely my favourite 'verb pedal so far. With that, I'm not a big reverb user. It's nice once and a while for texture/ambiance in certain songs, and on some leads. Otherwise, I keep it to a minimum.

I've always been more of a bridge, single coil kind of guy. It's always given me the most clarity. That being said, I LOVE my Tele with both of the pickups on.

I know that Vantage also did a series very close to the Westbury's.... I fucking LOVE them. Yeah, they seemed to be exclusive to the US market, i like them too but have never seen one in the UK. Really? That's quite unfortunate... I see them from time to time here, usually running around $350 each ...
