Stunning, if that plays and sounds as good as it looks then you'll have something special there imho.

What is Hum Balance ?

Is this a form of Hum Dinger ? Going back a long time to an amp me and another chap put together for a friend of our's based on a AC10 twin he had (circiut wise anyway), it is a variable resistor on the output of the 6.3v coil (there may have been a Cap in parallel) to "tune out" the hum i...

Quite like the look of that.

How is the pickup mounted ?

Through the body with a control cavity plate on the rear ?

I've had a go at all except the Super Sonic. I voted Cyclone as that's what I pick up most often, the Vista Jagmaster is quite different in feel from the Chinese ones but I'm not that grabbed by the sound of the pickups. The Toronado GT would get used more often if it was not so damn heavy (Mahogany...

Got a habit of creeping up the neck when using my thumb, try to avoid this when using a thumb pick as I'm worried about putting dings in the neck.

Brilliant, I'd missed this completely.

Are these new ones compatible parts wise with other 24 inch scale Fender's ?

The E-Bow.

Actually got an E-Bow first then started looking for a guitar to use it with/on. If you can get to try have a go with a volume pedal and delay/reverb, some very interesting tonallities in there.

There is true madness being talked by some people here, I've got the Behringer boost pedal for, well boosting things, woks well, cost me 12 quid, don't think you put it together yourself much cheaper than that.

Pickup selector suggestion.

Rather than a toggle, what about another knob either;

1/ a fader between the 2 pickups

2/ 4 way rotary neck/bridge/parallel/series

Interesting thread, quite like the overall design.

Eno would killed for that pedal when he was making his first 3 or 4 albums.

Cheers.

Bigsby.

In my most humble opinion, it not only should be done, but must be done.

Does this trem unit bolt directly to the face of the body or is considerable routing required ?

How difficult would it be to recover back to a plain MM body or is this a one way trip ?
