There's a guy on TDPRI selling the tuners off a 72 Mustang - http://www.tdpri.com/phpclassifieds/sho ... 1225864177
Dunno if it's a fair price or not.

The main difference from a playability point of view is the nut width. The J is much narrower than the P to the point where if you're used to one, changing feels quite awkward at first. I always thought Fender didn't put anything out in the custom colours back then (except for oly white), but these basses make me wonder. Is this one seafoam, or a faded...

Round Rotos'll tear hell outta frets. I don't know about that. I've been playing Rotosounds for ages, and the frets are still fine. The Rotos have worn my fingers a whole knuckle shorter than they used to be though. :P Yeah, really, it's one of those things I've heard a bajillion times from others ...

if i cant find those i will try and rock these http://www.daddario.com/Resources/JDCDAD/Images/Products/ECB80.gif Go for those. Those are probably the brightest flats out there. I hear so many people hate on the halfrounds that I don't understand why they still make 'em (never tried 'em personally)...
