Thanks for the comments. I should have said that the lacquer went on with a gun in a neighbours body shop, but when I posted it was nearing dinner time and I was peckish... sorry to mislead.

+1 for Wizard and Mojo, but maybe consider Aaron Armstrong (son / grandson of Kent / Dan Armstrong). Definitely worth a call. He can custom build/wind to what you want, or has standard stock. Good luck

And also... I know I said no more red guitars, and that was why I refinished the Bronco in the first place, but that Tele bass is hot. Thanks - the bass came to me this colour, and although the guy I bought it from said it was original - I'm pretty sure it isn't. I do like it too. I have some LaBel...

Thanks, thats a good insight as I hadn't given the fretboard radius much consideration... I think I'll seek one out next time I'm near a music shop and have a plonk.
