Fender 69RI Mustang - LPB
Just decided to upgrade my LPB with matching headstock Mustang reissue and figured I would use this time to take photos. I was never fond of the stock 69 pickups and since I have a 65 that sounds fairly authentic I decided to make this one have hotter pickups. I don't like those dual rail humbucker ...

It's refinished and hacked for mods....the financial and historical damage has already been done. So if a matching headstock feels better to you then go for it and get a reproduction decal for it. You won't be able to easily cover all of the other mods though so it just depends how much that specifi...

I could warm up to the white P-90 version. I thought I saw someone post a release date but now I see nothing. Was it October? I have the urge to throw one of these bridges on one.

I think the reissues are just mediocre tuners quality wise. Really I would like to switch to a locking tuner because I prefer them for ease of use BUT I really doubt there is a locking option that is drop in. There probably is no advantage to changing without going locking so maybe I need to suck up...

This actually irritates me more the more I think about it. Mustangs historically have been rosewood fingerboard instruments. I could understand doing the Duo-Sonic as a maple board and the Mustang as a rosewood board (even though in this case they are the same thing pretty much) but to have no singl...

I didn't realize the yen was so strong against the dollar right now...it's making the decent deals less decent but I am still thinking about it. I would imagine they are as good as the Fender Japan stuff but there is just no one that has played one. The guy that was selling one said he loves his but...
