<1963 duo-sonic/mm neck profiles

Can anyone describe the profile of these? I know they are 22.5" A width neck, but have heard everything from chunky assymtrical profiles to a soft V in the maple neck 50s. Unsure about the slab board ones but I hear they are pretty hefty as well. Comparisons to the MIM RI or the MG69 would be g...

Don't all the early 60s with A width necks and clay dots come in 22.5 only?

Duo-sonic vs Musicmaster (early 60s)

Is the former more sought for? Is the hardware and neck all identical? I am looking at couple of maroonburst musicmasters but there's only a $300 ish difference between the duo-sonics on the market. Need to make an informed choice before spending that kind of dough. PS: what would be a good price fo...

I was just looking up the Jag-stang on ebay. Shame about the thick finish. I know I'll never truly bond with that guitar.

By late 70s Musicmasters, does that include the Musicmaster IIs?

Yeah I wish to try a few but not much on the market where I'm at. I use to have a CIJ MG65 and it was very playable, don't recall it being particularly wide (i think it is 41mm, slightly smaller then usual B width which are around 41.3~) but was not as comfortable as my SG's nut. Sold it because I h...

1 9/16", vintage radius, which guitar?

I have a 74' Gibson SG with a 1 9/16" narrow nut that is perfect for me. Don't like the flat 12" radius though and the neck could a be bit fatter. So it seems a short scale fender would be perfect. A neck: 1 1/2" ~38mm B neck: 1 5/8" ~41.3mm B width is too thick for me, and A nec...

Mustang. My bad.

Is the hardware, neck (fret board) and electronics similar across the slab and contour models?

Mustang: slab vs contour body

Any differences in materials besides the aesthetics? How do I know which years use which wood? I'm looking to get a mid 60s model and don't know which to pick.

Would you guys say the mahagony bodies are more coveted?

Aftermarket mustang bodies

Hey guys I am looking for a builder who will make a vintage correct body that will gel well with a 70s B width neck I am about to purchase. Finishing is not needed, but would be a bonus. I read about Guitar Mill but they don't do them anymore. P.s: is there aftermarket hardware for the mustang? Espe...
