I bend a lot and i like my action low even though i certainly don't play shreddy music. and the *frets out during a semitone bend on a 7,25" is not something that'd sell a lot of guitars in 2018 imo.

I like jumbos. Makes it easier to bend, you can have a lighter touch and there's more material to sand off when they go bad.

Jumbo frets is something i like, and i can always get a replacement staytrem bridge. Tbh the only thing i don't like about the Mascis is the closer mounted tremolo. I really can't stand sg's as i can't let go off the neck when i just sing with bass and also because of the symetrical shape... But a guild S-100 is a serioiusly hot guitar. I also kinda like Kalamazoos for the fender like design with the white pg and single-coils. I'd love one like that!
