I think you're still gonna limited to what the DAW offers in the respect of exporting; the native drum plugin doesn't really work any different to anything else out there available as a non-standalone. Happy to be told otherwise, but I know how locked-down GB is from experience. While it's not a se...

The only way I know off the top of my head would be to soloing entire drum track, and then manually solo-ing each 'mic' Yeah, that was pretty much my idea to try too. There are only to real pains in the ass about this: 1. The time it takes to dump each drum element individually as an export 2. The ...

I knew a guy who built a partscaster tele and forgot the bridge ground, so he just connected a small wire between the bridge plate and control plate. It worked but for aesthetics I think it was only a short term solution. Did he just wrap it around one of the bridge screws or something? that sounds...

Re: Telecaster Bridge PUP Ground Fix Needed
Fam, Just got a new American Tele. And I fucking love it. But it has a GNARLY buzz that I'm pretty sure is a grounding issue because it's worst on the bridge pickup setting, and when I touch the control plate especially it goes away, but really any metal. Except the bridge. Help me! I don't wanna r...

Sounds like bridge isn't grounded....first check the control plate, easy enough to remove and see if there's a wire going to the bridge. If the ground came loose from the back of the pot, that's probably your easiest fix, just resolder and good to go. If it is connected to the pot, you might have t...

I'm about to go buy one (Thanks, Aen for re-awakening my serious gear addiction!). But want to know if they have nay shortcomings. I give zero fuc...

eBay is the place for SLR stuff. I like to use Olympus SLRs, the OM-1 in perticular. The most common lens they come with, at least on the ones I've bought, has been a 50mm f1.8. Really nice lens. But they also do an f1.4 and a monstrous f1.2. I would kill for the 50mm 1.2, it's pricey as hell. I've...

Well the x100 doesn't have interchangeable lenses. But the X-Pro1 and EX-1 do and they use fujis own lens mount. I wonder if they make mount adapters for those lenses. I'm an idiot because when I first bought my camera I bought this really old Canon 50mm SLR lens that I had to use a ring adapter on...

My camera (fuji x100) has a fixed 35mm lens. I've grown to love just using 1 lens, its a nice challenge (although I sometimes wish it was 50mm rather than 35). Oooh! I'd love to shoot on a fixed 35. What I love about using fixed lenses is that it forces you to move the camera, and I don't know abou...

For awhile I was playing around with HDR quite a bit. As it turns out, Disneyland is pretty great for HDR shots because they paint and decorate everything in really vibrant colors that already have great contrast with each other. I love HDR for things like this, where you're already capturing not-qu...

Hopefully I will update it over Christmas a bit. Thanks Dan! I hope once we get our financial ship ri...
