Re: Stacking drives/distortions, where would you place them?
It really does depend on the order and the pedal itself. Fuzz face stacks great with the DS-1 and anything Marshall flavoured. Doesn’t stack well with a TS style pedal, though if I stick the Fulldrive in flat mode it works well. The klon works great into the full drive and into the ds-1. A lot of pe...

Re: Stacking drives/distortions, where would you place them?
So I’ve got the following wired up FF>FD2>DS1>Klon I can t believe I’ve been playing for all this time and never tried a DS-1. This thing at low gain is a proper crunch machine with single coils, got the tone around 9/10 o clock and turning the guitar volume down cleans up surprisingly well. It play...

Re: After some dirt pedal inspiration
DS-1 arrived, sounds pretty frickin good for a design that’s been around since the late 70’s/80’s.
Time to replan the board again………..

Stacking drives/distortions, where would you place them?
As it says in the thread, Say for example you had Marshall in a Box Tubescreamer type o/d Klon style o/d with Buffer Distortion pedal (ds-1) Fuzz Face would alway go first because of buffers and shit. In what way would you stack/combine them, Some people go low gain first and work up? Some people go...

Saw this on your instagram, looks great.
I’ve always wanted to have a go at building/modding but know that I’m shit at soldering. Captain Hook could solder better than me

Re: After some dirt pedal inspiration
If you fancy getting your mids back on the DS-1, there's a super easy mod (clip R17, remove the highpass filter, so no more mid-scoop) that I did do my gf's and it sounds soooo much better. Love a low gain DS-1 for the kinda 'saggy amp fuzz' thing, this just makes it even more amp-y. http://www.you...

Re: After some dirt pedal inspiration
Fulldrive 2 arrived today, so seeing how well it stacks with the FF and as a standalone OD. It’s definitely darker sounding than the mosfet version I had, but I like that as I’m working with single coils. The FM mode is my favourite so far, sounds like it might be one of those always on kinda pedals...

Re: pictures of your gear here
Finally got a supply that can handle anything I need, powers the mini vent fine on 12v with a reverse polarity cable. No noise or issues. £102 new, which didn’t seem too band a price. I ran this at a band practice the other day and on the whole it was a great little board. Ran the FF and a wah next ...

Re: After some dirt pedal inspiration
Some great recommendations, thanks my dear friends. Just looking at the nobels, they do the ODR1 mini that can be had quiet cheap so might start there. Had to upgrade my power supply so I can power the mini vent as it’s 12v and I only had a 9v supply. Hoping to find some dirt pedals that run on 18v ...

Re: After some dirt pedal inspiration
Think i used to have a rat years ago, got it in a trade I think and never really sat down and messed with it. Think doog made a demo years ago of one for me demonstrating using it as a booster. Got £60 of Amazon vouchers to spend and thinking of some new dirt for the board.

After some dirt pedal inspiration
Pretty much what it says on thread, After some inspiration for the drive/dirt section of my board. I’ve been using Marshall in a box type pedals for years but fancy mixing it up. Ideally something that stacks well with a fuzz face and something that would react well to your picking dynamics, guitar ...

Re: NGD: Squier Debut Stratocaster
It’s been a few days, I’ve had chance to give it a few hours abuse. The pickups are surprisingly good, if a little bright/brittle. Glad the tone is wired for the bridge to tame it a little. No sharp frets and no dead spots so far. Tuners are a little all or nothing in terms of movement. I just love ...

NGD: Squier Debut Stratocaster
Currently nursing an injured ankle at the moment and getting a bit fed up with being stuck at home. Wifey decided to cheer me up by getting me one of these to mess around with. Essentially Amazon and fender have teamed up to make a range of guitars that replace the old bullet ranges. Slightly thinne...

Re: pictures of your gear here
Looks epic matey. Those little klon pedals are pretty sweet for the money. Never sure if they have the buffer in them or not. Managed to find a neo mini vent 2 for cheap on eBay, loved the one I had but didn’t want to pay £250+ for one. No box or manual, but has the power supply and it’s clean so co...
