No, it's a reverb handle.

Well thanks for all the input, chaps.

I asked a few other people (with AC15s) what they'd found, and JJ came out on top so I've gone with them.

Please feel free to laugh a lot if it they go horribly wrong. I'll let you know!

Valve recommendation(s) (UPDATE)

Hi all. Judging from the popping, buzzing and occasional squeal it appears I've finally lost a valve in my Vox AC15CC1x. I'm guessing it's one of the preamp valves, as I'm still getting some amplification albeit limp-wristed and extremely noisy. Anyway, I thought I'd take the opportunity to replace ...

That is a great looking guitar! Its nice to see that people here don't feel the need to give you shit about the buzzstop - I have one on my '65 and would never go without it. Folks on other forums always dump on people who use them. Oh, the same idiots that say you MUST use heavy gauge strin...

I little bit I would imagine, increased break angle and all that. I can't imagine needing one on my CP, the thing rings out for ages. It has those "behind the bridge" harmonics you can hear with heavy gain but personally I think that's just what a Jag sounds like. I'm in no hurry to "...

Looks good.

Do you find the buzz stop has made a noticeable difference? I've oft considered fitting one to mine (it's a Japanese jag and therefore would theoretically benefit from the increased break angle).

Mike, how come these trimmers need to be set up using an oscilloscope rather than "by ear" (I guess in the same way those on a DMM does)? What's the difference?

The first i've heard bad things about the Maplin dc , your friend must have happened across a rogue, I've had my Maplin for nearly 10years with no problems.... Maybe it's just the new(er) ones then, as Mike said he's had his one for ages and it's been no problem. Dunno. The guy who posted in this t...

The Diago Powerstation is smaller, lighter and has more power than the DC Brick. The DC Brick is also not as disimilar to the Maplin supply as you would like to think. The Power Station looks pretty good, especially the adapter for battery-only pedals. You have to buy all the adapters at extra cost...

And it also insanely overpriced. You get what you pay for, although I wouldn't pay £119 for one. Happily, they seemed to pop up on Ebay fairly frequently when I was buying one, and I in fact got mine for a measly £50. The Diago daisy-chain thing is £59 (new) on Ebay. A friend of mine bought the ...

Re: Delay Pedal debate

The DD-20 is out because i just really don't like it. What don't you like about it? The answer to that will probably help people suggest a useful option than knowing what you like about the ones you do. Good Idea. Its just to complicated to recall the presets I want on stage, ease of use is a big t...

Re: I want some overdrive advice.

i want something that sounds like a bassman on the edge of blowin' up. IE, super chunky, rumbly, deep overdrive. But also something i could dial back in for real subtle dirt. Tone control is fairly important... One that i could clone for myself would be a big bonus, too. HALP SHARTSCAEL! http://mus...

This is a bit out of the range of my own abilities (you need a 'scope to adjust the trimmers) and I would recommend you use Howard.
Thanks very much for the info.
