The neck is kind of chunky, not 50's style Gibson chunky but maybe in-between the 50's fat and 60's slim. Fit's my hand nicely anyway! Also just adjusted the pole pieces on the neck pickup and it's just incredible now. Any hint of mud is gone (not that I thought there was any before)! ...can't wait ...

I wasn't so sure about the gold at first either, was planning on swapping it all out for chrome at some point but it's really grown on me!

NGD! Gretsch Duo Jet

So it was my birthday last week and having managed to sell some gear I thought it right I reinvested it right away in a new Gretsch! I had tried one out a few years ago and loved it but it was far outside of my price-range then. This one popped up on Gumtree at a great price so I figured what the he...

I mentioned this earlier but didn't say why I liked it so. It's an Ibanez CCL Dual Chorus from the mid 80's. Made by Maxon, I think it is pretty much a CS9 circuit (not stereo though) and a FL9 circuit in one box. Flanging is smooth, warm and not overpowering and the chorus is lovely - warm and not...

Looks awesome! One of my Jaguars is that same colour (albeit with a matching headstock), it was an identical colour to my 69-reissue Mustang which Fender Japan called sonic blue. I'd agree it is definitely closer to the 60's daphne blue though. The non-matching headstock is great too! I've thought a...

Well, that's a real nice thing right there. Are Broncos cheap(ish)? Do a demo! The few I've seen on eBay UK seem to be around £600 and up. Though yeah, you get the odd one with a stupid price. Seem's like it wouldn't be much more expensive importing one. Bronco Trems are awesome and very underrate...

NGD: 1978 Bronco!

So after recently selling my Vibrolux Custom (and getting an old JC-50 as part of the deal!) I had some money burning a hole in my pocket. This popped up on eBay and I managed to snag it at a really nice price. Excuse the poor photos, taken in a rush to get back to playing it http://i.imgur.com/B8mz...

It's nice to see someone else with a Blue Tube, the Maestro fuzz into that would sound pretty damn sweet. I think I see an old MXR flanger in there too and maybe a DOD 250 on it's right and a DOD Phasor 490 (though it could be the compressor) on the left!

Oh man, I've wanted to try a Hot Tubes for a while now and it's a similar circuit to the Red Llama? This is too perfect, I've wanted one of them for a while too. Two birds one stone. I really liked the Red Llama clone I had, but the lack of tone control bumped it off my board. I'd be interested to ...

It could quite easily be the Drivemaster, same case as the Shredmaster but the circuit is essentially a Guv'nor minus the effects loop. Interesting, I didn't know that. I'd always presumed them to me entirely different overdrive/drive type pedals. They both use the same op-amp driving a pair of cli...

So it wouldn't be so strange for him to have used a Drivemaster mid-tour if the by then discontinued Guv'nor buggered up. ...but yeah, in that photo it's definitely...

When did this editor come out? The lack of a toneprint editor is what made me go with the Hardwire reverb... may have to rethink this. Can you get a MBV "Early Reflections" sound with it?

Good job. Always wanted one of these for reasons I don't understand. I encourage you to get one. It's definitely the most fun I've had with a pedal in ages and even used for just straight up fuzz it's pretty sweet. You can really do some nice things with it, cranking the Guitar voice and mixing in ...

NPD!: EHX Micro-Synth

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8252/8665099365_ba42a00479.jpg Just got this the other day. Got it pretty cheap because the seller said it has a dodgy footswitch (hasn't acted up for me, yet) and I absolutely LOVE it. Mostly just been using the Square Wave (which I swear is just a Big Muff) and the O...
