Re: Synth style filter pedal help?
First, great idea. I can say that a proper Low pass filter makes a HUGE difference compared to a wah, especially with a resonance control. I wanted to put our Happiness pedal in a wah enclosure SO BAD but the parts were expensive and shitty from our suppliers. Never panned out, obviously.

Orange Supercrush Adventures
Y'AAAALLLLLL I recently got an Orange Supercrush head. Actually, the other guitarist in my band got one too. On the same day. We are amp twinsies. I run mine into the same mystery 1x15" cabinet that I've been rocking pretty much since I started rocking. Jaime (my amp twinsie) uses a homemade 2x...

Re: Sans drummer help
It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to hook up 2 pair of headphones to the MPC... but it would hinder your movement :( I'm in a similar boat, though we use an Octatrack and a Drumbrute. Luckily my partner in that band has a PA system cobbled together, so if he's not doing sound at the gig al...

Re: Shady Sustainer
The instructions seem to indicate that you want the strings very close, and that's supported by my tweaking so far. The driver is at full blast, as set by the BACKWARDS ASS trimpot on the circuit board. I guess getting the $300 system for $60 isn't the best idea in the world.

Re: Shady Sustainer
Only the three lower strings will sustain, modes are “pretty much harmonic” and “distorted harmonic.”

Re: Shady Sustainer
KABLAM! Did my first routing job, and eventually got everything working, at least on a pass/fail basis. I'm hoping the re-setup will get this guitar back in tune and on time, in addition to sustaining extra long. http://scontent-msp1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/419363185_10159887160521717_380367456...

Shady Sustainer
One of my few gear regrets is selling a fuckin sick Schecter with a sustainer system and a floyd rose. Well, as luck would have it, my wife got me a Highway One HH strat with a floyd rose, and some shady indonesian knock off artists are selling sustainer systems for $60 on reverb, so I'm going for i...

Re: Soft Reboot of my Squier FSR Jaguar
Fender sound and feel for half the price. I see at *amber* people mod Squier Jags and JMs with top shelf parts, turning them into banging guitars Though I'm not an amber person my Jazzmaster is largely Squier parts. I think it's a pretty good way to go for any Fender type guitar, especially if you'...

Re: How hard is it to paint a guitar with poly?
*edit* sorry, I didn't read the title very well. I missed that you specified poly. Anyway, below is my refinish experience: Unconventional take: It's easy as heck. Grab a can of glossy whatever color you like. Give that fucker a ton of thin coats right over the current finish. It comes out semi-glos...
